I was honored to be part of the team in charge of designing an event to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Faith Family Church. The event took place on a Sunday during typical service times, so the goal was to infuse the Sunday services with some special touches in light of this impressive milestone. To draw congregants into the church's fascinating history, we created a meaningful timeline for the church lobby — including throwback photos of church attendees — connecting current congregants to those who came before.
We added a special touch with a banner that wrapped around the soffit of the entire lobby, reading "Building the church Since 1939" as well as the event verse, Lamentation 5:19, "“You, Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation.” We added another, more interactive timeline where congregants could sign their name under the decade when they first started attending the church. We designed custom merch available for purchase that was worn by all staff members, as well as free custom stickers that spoke to the church's past initiatives as well as their vision for the future. It was a special time for reminiscing on all God had done, as well as looking ahead to the next 85 years!
